Anything in the public sector is pretty stable unless the state has real trouble. Also I think IT is pretty secure, especially since you can work remotely from pretty much anywhere in the world these days.

I feel jobs in medical field and energy sectors are secured because health care and energy needs are basic necessities for individuals.
