Cooking for More than Two
I enjoy cooking although I wouldn’t say I’m good enough to be a chef. With some urging from my friends and family, I decided to throw a dinner party to showcase some new recipes. Since I had never thrown such an elaborate party, I started looking for tips anywhere I could find them so I wouldn’t come out looking like an amateur.
I found a book that was extremely helpful in planning, called Secrets from a Caterer’s Kitchen: The Indispensable Guide for Planning a Party. It had very detailed planning ideas, from centerpieces and utensils to invitations. It included planning for a wide range of events, from the elegant wedding to the relaxed barbecue, with timelines and organization suggestions for each. The book was informative and entertaining, much more than a typical cookbook with recipes (although it had plenty of delicious recipes too).
Thankfully, the dinner party was a success. I already have another small luncheon in the planning.
However, I think it is difficult to plan for more than 20 people, so I would definitely hire a Salt Lake City caterer for larger events. But try the book for great ideas for small get togethers with friends or family!

I really liked your blog! However, I found a contradicting article at Ezine. Are you sure about this?
