On Hold Music Unpleasant?

I read a fun article the other day about the reactions that people have to various types of music when put on hold. They explain what type of music is best liked between genders and among age groups. They also studied what type of music is best used to reduce the perceived time that customers have been on hold.

This information may help if you’re planning on adding an on hold marketing message or music to your company phones. Choosing the right kind of message and music can increase your sales and reduce the time when people hang up.

Computer Illiterate

Although I use a computer everyday and I know the basics, if something goes wrong or my computer is slow, I am completely clueless about what to do. Personally, I hate paying over $100 for the Geek Squad to install something simple in my computer or fix something I could do myself, if I only knew how. After reading Troubleshooting Your PC for Dummies, I now know how to fix my computer problems! It explained simply how to fix my computer, without too much technical language.

I also picked up Simple Computer Transfer and Backup, but I find it’e easiest just to use remote backup on the internet or elsewhere.

Online Backup

Have you ever experienced computer failure and lost valuable documents and files?  If you have, whether on a business or personal computer, you are no stranger to the time, patience, and money it can take to perform a recovery.  I have read a number of books on backup and recovery, mostly how to perform a recovery yourself.  Why would anyone want to do that themselves?  You should really try online backup…such a stress reliever!

E-Recording Puts Title Companies in the Digital Age

After working in various industries, I have found technology to be implemented fairly quickly in businesses to keep them connected and growing. However, after settling for several years in the title and escrow industry, I discovered that there are some industries that have been unable to go completely digital with the use of computers.

Until recently, the title industry still used large amounts of paper, along with plenty of file cabinets to hold the information stacks. However, with the implementation of electronic recording, information can be processed without paper and files can be downloaded and e-mailed quickly and efficiently.

At first, this process seemed confusing to me. I also didn’t think sending confidential information through the internet could be safe. However, I found an electronic document recording website that explains e-recording and an article that helped me keep up to date on technology in the title industry and how e-recording can help my company meet our customers’ needs better.
