Finding a low cost car insurance rate is never easy. But it is made even harder when you do not understand how the insurance industry works. Having a bit of inside knowledge can help lower your premiums and help very cheap car insurance.

Here are five things you probably don’t know about automobile insurance that would end up costing you money:

The car you drive impacts the rate you pay. Not all drivers are treated equally and neither are all car models. Insurers have a rating system for every car make and model. The basis of the rating is the car’s cost and then theft and safety data are factored in. Even small differences between models – like have a 2-door model rather than a 4-door model – can have an outsized impact on your premiums.

You can wait to add your young driver to your policy until they have a license. Parents know that finding cheap car insurance for young drivers is a big challenge. One way to save is to wait to add your teenager to your policy until he or she gets their license. Just because your child has reached driving age does not mean you have to immediately add them to your auto insurance policy.

The higher your credit score, the less you will pay. These days nearly every major car insurance company reviews your credit report when calculating your rate. Your credit score tells the insurer how likely you are to file a claim and how stable you are. A consistent record of paying bills on time indicates you may be a more careful driver and safe drivers file fewer claims.

You will pay for bad driving, even if you didn’t do it. It’s probably not surprising that you will pay more if you get into accidents. But what you might not know is that your insurance cost will go up even if you weren’t behind the wheel during an accident. If a friend borrows your car and gets into an accident, you will be the one filing the claim and paying the deductible. As a result, your rate is likely to go up.

You need to officially cancel your insurance policy if you switch companies. If you are switching car insurance companies do not make the mistake of simply not paying your next premium. Insurance companies do not treat this as terminating your policy and non-payment will go on your credit record. Make sure you call your insurance company to notify them that you are terminating your policy. They will send you a cancellation request form that you will need to sign and send back.

And here’s one more bonus secret: you really can save money by shopping around for your car insurance policy. Consumers routinely save hundreds of dollars a year on their premiums by spending less than an hour comparing rates. That is time well spent.

It seems that the old adage “you get what you pay for” rings true when it comes to most things in life; whether it be wine or healthcare, typically the more you pay for a certain product or service, the higher the quality. The same can be said for legal counsel.

Convictions of serious criminal charges (namely felonies) often result in hefty fines, a tarnished record and a damaged reputation. Depending on the severity of the crime, you may also be facing potential jail or even prison time ranging anywhere from a few days to even years behind bars. Furthermore, criminal conviction could affect job, college and even loan applications.

It’s important to know that skilled, experienced and competent lawyers will charge more than those who aren’t. A lawyer who has won many cases similar to yours will obviously charge more than an attorney right out of law school. In regards to legal counsel, cost often equates to experience and skill. With so much at stake – your freedom, your finances and most importantly, your future – the last thing you want is to have an inexperienced lawyer representing you and presenting your case to the courts.

It may seem like a lot of money to spend but can you really put a price tag on your freedom and potentially your future? Whether you need a California DUI attorney or Maryland criminal lawyer, do yourself (and your family) a favor by hiring a seasoned attorney who is skilled and proficient in the type of law and criminal offense your case falls under.

The second was to earn more income to pay off tens of thousands of dollars in escalated debt. We both work full-time and getting a second job sounded exhausting.

Instead, I am going to work part-time selling items on eBay. I know many people do it full-time, using a dropship service to supply products. My husband bought me eBay Business All-in-One Desk Reference for Dummies for Christmas so I can immediately get started on my new business. I can’t wait for my new business to get started and to be completely debt-free!

After a short time of selling products on eBay, I decided to pursue it full-time. I talked to some other sellers to get some ideas how I could increase my profits from a side income to a full-time income. I had several people suggest that I sell a dropship product.

It sounded simple enough. After browsing a dropshipper’s products, I could choose the retail mark-up and list the product on my auction site. As soon as a consumer bought the product, I ordered it from the dropshipper and they took care of the shipping. It would save me time by not having to deal with shipping or returns.

Being a cautious person, I decided to further investigate how beneficial dropshipping would be for my business, if it was the most cost-efficient way of ordering products. I picked up the book Ebay Inventory the Smart Way, which was a simple guide to sourcing products and making money online. I decided to try using a dropshipper, and now I make a full-time income that was better than my previous job by selling on eBay. Dropshipping has made my life easier and I love the flexible schedule being an eBay seller gives me.

I have been buying items on eBay for a while, but decided to try my hand at selling items only a short time ago. Since I was slightly clueless about how to make the best profits on auctions, I found a great book to educate me and start making money. I skimmed through several books, but my favorite was Three Weeks to eBay Profits: Go from Beginner to Successful Seller in Less than a Month.

It was the perfect book to get my auctions up and running quickly. Some of the other books I read were very generalized, but this book went deep into the details of eBay. It provided tips on equipment and tools, power moves, and even trade secrets that experienced, full-time eBay sellers use. It was easy to understand and walked through each step, which is perfect if you are an eBay beginner like me!

I particularly liked that it addressed several ways to find and sell products, such as through drop shipping companies. If you want to use drop shipping, I would recommend this Doba review and reading the previous post on drop shipping.
