With the acquisition of my new condo, I was so happy that now I could get a mini dog. Although initially I wanted a miniature schnauzer, I decided to find out what other kind of small dogs are available that would fit into my small apartment.

I read the book Small Dog Breeds, which gave me an idea of all the pros and cons of each breed. It helped me find a small dog whose personality would match my lifestyle.

After I picked my little Yorkshire Terrier, I immediately looked for a way to train him, and found all my answers in the very informative book, Small Dogs, Big Hearts: A Guide to Caring for Your Little Dog. Now that I have my puppy trained, I do spoil him a little with gourmet dog treats and even spoiled myself with a designer dog purse.
