Losing Weight - Akavar (Weight Loss Supplement) or Working Out?

I’ve been wanting to lose about 30 pounds now for the past year (ha!) so I decided to actually start trying, and stop eating donughts (goodbye, Krispy Kreme!) and other junk food. Then I started thinking about it, and realized that if I have to cut out food I love, I’ll never stick to my diet. I started wondering…is it better to get a weight loss book or video, or take weight loss supplements?

I started doing some research on some popular supplements - I only wanted to take something that’s going to work - not a fad, like Hoodia. When I researched Akavar, I liked the fact that they have done scientific studies on people taking the supplement and losing weight. They also have a guarantee on their product. I feel like it’s not as big of a risk if I know I can get my money back. Plus, there are some really good reviews about the product, and they have a lot of information available for me to read.

I started looking into weight loss books as well, and realized that if I do a combination of weight loss programs and take supplements, I’ll probably have the best results. This way, I can still eat my beloved Krispy Kremes as well. I’ll post updates about my weight loss results. In the meantime, I’m excited to start taking Akavar and working out, and watching the weight drop off!

E-Recording Puts Title Companies in the Digital Age

After working in various industries, I have found technology to be implemented fairly quickly in businesses to keep them connected and growing. However, after settling for several years in the title and escrow industry, I discovered that there are some industries that have been unable to go completely digital with the use of computers.

Until recently, the title industry still used large amounts of paper, along with plenty of file cabinets to hold the information stacks. However, with the implementation of electronic recording, information can be processed without paper and files can be downloaded and e-mailed quickly and efficiently.

At first, this process seemed confusing to me. I also didn’t think sending confidential information through the internet could be safe. However, I found an electronic document recording website that explains e-recording and an article that helped me keep up to date on technology in the title industry and how e-recording can help my company meet our customers’ needs better.

Utah’s Incredible Backcountry Trails

Since moving to Utah a few years ago, I love finding new hikes throughout the mountain regions of the state. Of course this is just one Utah recreation activity that I enjoy, but it is the easiest to do because it only requires a pair of shoes and a quick assembly of friends for a hike.

I have already hiked the popular places recommended by friends and looked through outdoor guides to hike the rest. I recently found this new book, Utah’s Incredible Backcountry Trails , and was impressed by it. This book has more than a few (make that 92) trail maps with beautiful pictures of each area. It has trails in a range of places, covering not just Utah National Parks, but other less known trails that haven’t been seen by every hiker and visitor to Utah. It is also an easy read, with plenty of pictures.

Since the writer is a professional photographer and former Peace Corps volunteer, you get the best of the area in words and visuals. He has also written four other books about Utah’s backcountry. This book is definitely one of the best in Utah recreation, written by a real hiker and specialist.

CDL Training in a Box

No, I am not thinking about a career change – I have a buddy who was, however and he showed me a CD-ROM awhile ago that I was actually impressed with. It’s an interactive study guide for Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) tests, required for all professional truck drivers. After doing a little research, I have to admit becoming a truck driver sure seemed to have its perks (think very cushy income).

Anyways, anyone preparing to take a CDL test to become a professional driver should definitely use this CD-Rom manual to prepare. It has study and test mode functions (for each state) to help you study and test your knowledge. It’s a relatively inexpensive alternative to costly CDL and training programs.

My buddy, in case you were so anxiously wondering, passed his exam with flying colors a got a (extremely) well-paying Swift trucking job.
